Dear Parents,

It is time for leprechauns, fairies, and the “wearin’ of the green”!! Hopefully, the March winds will not be too cold for our wee guests.

Kindergarten will be very busy this month!! We will explore the castles of the Letter People O, R, G and E in reading. Math will take us into the realms of graphing, time and money. Finally, we will learn about the Trinity, the Stations of the Cross and Jesus’ life in Religion.

Show~n~tell will be on Thursday, March 4th. Please send in a favorite Dr. Seuss book.

The caring habit of the month is “Get Along Together”. Please review peaceful habits with your child/ren.

Shamrockgrams:

· Please ask your child to tell you about the Stations of the Cross and Easter story. We participated in the school Stations of the Cross February 15th and will do so again during Lent.

· Please send in $1.00 in coins (1 quarter, 4 dimes, 5 nickels, 10 pennies) with your child by March 10^th. We will use this to learn about money. At the end of the unit, the children will be able to shop in a class store.

· Thank you to all of you who donated books for our class auction item. Our beautifully painted cradle was sold for $200!

· A new list of sight words is attached to this letter. Please practice these with your child.

· We will be testing the children on their prayers, sounds, etc. for report cards. Please practice the skills we learn at home.
