Gym Class

The dress code for 3rd grade gym continues to be red, black, and white SOLID shorts (or sweatpants) and shirts. Both

shorts and shirts should be loose fitting NO designs or writing other than St. Bonaventure logo wear will be permitted.

Every day your child comes to Phys. Ed. call they have the opportunity to earn 5 points;

1.being in dress code    2. proper shoes   3. participation    4. cooperation    5. behavior

Your child can lose 1 point for each area that is not followed. Students will NOT be graded on how good they are at sports.

Their grade reflects their willingness to be involved in the class, their cooperation with each other and me, their behavior,

and their sportsmanlike conduct.

Discipline in Room 105

This year in 3rd grade the discipline policy will be somewhat different. If there is an infraction to the rules that

we all worked on creating together, the student will "walk the plank". They are to pull a "plank" (popsicle stick) and

read what the consequence will be. ALL of the consequences are written assignments such as write your 4 times

table 3 times, write the Our Father, etc. The "plank" is placed into their own pirate pouch and stays there until

the assignment has been completed. ALL punishment assignments are due NO later than the next morning. If your child

"walked the plank" in school there will be a short message in their assignment book. Please check their assignment books

nightly.

Learning Together

Please try to be patient with your child AND with me as we find our way into the third grade routine. Once we get started next

week in all the subjects I think we will all feel a lot more secure. If you have ANY questions, PLEASE ask them.
