Before and After School Care Program

St. Bonaventure School will offer a “Before and After School Care Program” for students enrolled in grades K-8. Afternoon Preschool Students who are in the Pre-K Enrichment Program may also participate in the After School Program.  THERE IS NO “MID-DAY PROGRAM.”

To participate in the program you must register. There is a $25.00 non-refundable registration fee per family.  Registration forms and emergency forms must be completed before your child may enter the program. This enables you to use the program on a regular basis or just for “unforeseen circumstances.” Registration will not be processed without the registration fee.

The Morning Care Program will not be available on days when the school is operating on a 2 hour delay.  The After Care Program is always available for the “Early Dismissal Days” due to the Faculty Meetings for the teaching staff.  Students are expected to provide their own lunch and drink on those days.

The After School Program will be available Monday through Friday until 6:00 p.m.  Children should bring a healthy snack as snacks will not be provided.  Homework time will be provided for Grades 2-8. Tennis shoes are advisable for wearing in the gym.

Please send a note to school on the days your child will be using After Care.  In emergencies call the office by 2:30 p.m. by using the “change in dismissal” prompt to notify them that your child will be staying.  The Before School Program will begin at 6:45 a.m. Monday through Friday.  If your child has not had breakfast, please send something with them. Students should enter the Morning Care Program thru the middle set of school doors facing Newmeyer Hall. 

**ALL STUDENTS WILL BE LOCATED IN THE SCHOOL CAFETERIA after 3:30.  From 3:00 until 3:30 students may be located in the gym.  You must ring the bell at the middle set of school doors facing Newmeyer Hall to pick up your child. FOR SAFETY REASONS ALL PARENTS MUST SIGN THEIR CHILD OUT. Any child that is not signed out by a parent/guardian will be billed for the entire 3 hour period.       

The fee for this program is as follows:

            1 child              $6.50/hr
            2 children        $7.50/hr
            3 children        $8.50/hr

Billing for these services will occur on the last school day of the month and is payable upon receipt.   Services will be billed on a 1/2 hour basis.  Late charges will be applied to anyone arriving after 6:00 p.m. You will be billed for 1 whole hour.  Please make checks payable to St. Bonaventure School and write “Before/After Care” on the memo line.  Any account that becomes past due will necessitate removal of students from the program.
